Happy Birthday, Juliette Low!

We dropped off our baby basket at St. Anthony's today. We're excited for a baby to get it! We told the nurses to give it to the first baby girl born on October 31. That's Juliette Low's birthday!

Thank you, everyone, for donating to our basket! The girls all signed a card at school. We put it in the basket. We're hoping that the family will send us a picture of their baby. All of the Daisies received the "Happy Birthday Juliette Low" patch for their donation to this project. Those were sent home Thursday.

Marshmallow Roast and Sing-a-Long

Our beautiful Daisies had an amazing time at Watson Trails Park yesterday...and we simply couldn't have asked for a better day! It was breathtaking! The fall leaves, the perfect temperature, the blue sky, the terrific fire...WOW!

We explored the area and sang some songs before we roasted marshmallows. We learned "I'm a Little Daisy" and sang "Baby Bumblebee." Our girls are great singers! Then it was time to try roasting marshmallows! Everyone was very excited to try! For some of the girls, this was their first experience roasting marshmallows!

The girls only ate a few marshmallows. They wanted to run and play! Before we ended our time at Watson Trails, we sang some more songs together. Our Daisy Troop is so much fun! We couldn't ask for sweeter girls, or more helpful moms! Thank you for making the afternoon such a success!

Today the girls earned the center of their daisy for being able to recite the Girl Scout Promise. They also received a patch for our marshmallow roast and sing-a-long!

Our First Meeting

I was so happy to meet the Daisies on Wednesday! We were busy during our first meeting! We got temporary tattoos that say "Girls Rock!" We learned about kapers, and a little bit about what each job would be during our meeting. We learned the Girl Scout Promise, and made cards so that we could practice at home. Then we learned how the Girl Scout Law has 10 parts...we made a stretch bracelet with ten different color beads!

Next time, I'm going to take more pictures! I am looking forward to lots of wonderfully fun adventures with these sweet girls!
